The painting is inspired by Chantal Akerman’s film Jeanne Dielman which depicts the life of Jeanne Dielman (a prostitute and a mother ) in a respectful way of her space, her, and her gestures within it with barely no line. The scenes of her repetitive and organized daily routine particularly resonate with me. So I overlaps different Jeannes from different space-times in her bathroom on the very canvas, to hint the repetition happened in the same space but keep the ambiguity about what it means for her.
